The PS5 breaks in a short list of ways and we see all of them every week.
No picture on the TV is almost always the HDMI port. The pins bend, or the whole port gets torn off the board when someone trips over a cable. We replace the port itself at the board level, so it goes back to stock instead of getting a dongle taped to the back.
Loud fans and shutdowns mid-game are thermals. The factory liquid metal spreads out over a few years and dust does the rest. We take it down to the board, clean it out, and reapply the liquid metal with the seal redone properly. Before it goes back to you we run it for an hour on a game you pick and watch the temps, so you know it actually holds.
Discs that won’t go in, won’t come out, or get spit right back are the drive. A stuck disc on its own is usually a quick job. A drive that reads nothing is a bigger one, and we’ll tell you which you’re dealing with before you commit.
No power at all, blue light, or a beep and then nothing: that’s board level. Could be power delivery, could be liquid, could be a blown fuse. We diagnose it first and quote you after.

A dongle or a different cable is a workaround, not a fix. If the pins are bent or the port is torn off the board, the port is the thing that has to be replaced.
Already been opened by someone else? Bring it anyway. Plenty of what comes in has been on somebody’s bench already. Just tell us up front so we know what we’re looking at.
Where you bought it and whether it’s still in warranty doesn’t change anything on our end.
